The young Catherine falls ill, all hope seems to be lost for her. Zalessky is awarded with a higher rank after retrieving documents suggested to be harmful to the Empire.

The Orlov brothers hatch a plan in order to solidify the Catherine's reign. The senate approves Catherine as the regent ruler until Paul comes of age, but she has other plans.
