Jennifer Wade, an emerging celebrity chef in NYC, is having a meltdown on the set of her Christmas Homestyle show. A kindly widower with young children, still grieving for his dead wife, takes a dazed Jennifer to his home and they wind up having magical and healing holiday experiences that both transform and heal them all.

New York based Jennifer Wade, a domestic goddess (domestic skills which she learned from her now deceased mother) who hosts a lifestyle show called Home Style, has just taped her Christmas special. Perfection for the special belies the fact that she doesn't really do Christmas personally anymore, not having the time, the energy, or the wherewithal, especially as she doesn't have anyone special, like her mother, do to it with, with her sportscaster boyfriend Brad being more a boyfriend in name than in true emotion, at least on her side. Jennifer reluctantly accepts her best friend and the show's producer Paula's offer to spend a relaxing Christmas at her chalet near Aspen, Brad who decides not to go with her, he preferring to do the New York thing instead. En route in a snow storm near the town of North Creek, Colorado, Jennifer skids off the road, she emerging from the car wreck with a head laceration, mild concussion and amnesia, including not knowing who she is, with only the clothes on her back and no identification, and no memory of the car crash. She is rescued by the town's vet, Dr. John Blake, who finds her wandering alone on the isolated stretch of highway. Being a widower now for three years, he is a single father to his three adolescent children, Jamie, Kyle and Daisy Blake. He has only just started dating again, pressure such as that placed on him by his long time acquaintance Brooke Hanson, who has always seen them as the perfect match, not what he wants in dating. The Blakes have not indulged in Christmas since John's wife/the kids' mother Julie died. John ends up taking Jennifer home to look after her, he not knowing who she is. As news spreads throughout town, no one can identify her or claims her. With nowhere to go, "Maggie", as the Blakes have renamed her, ends up spending the next few days with them, she only remembering her domestic skills which she uses to bring the joy of Christmas back into their house, that joy which Jennifer has long missed about her chic New York life. In the process, John/the kids and Maggie start to fall for each other. The question then becomes if there is a future for them, especially after Maggie regains her memory of being urbanite and career-oriented Jennifer Wade.—Huggo

Dr. John Blake runs a happy veterinary practice in North Creek, Colorado, while his swell son Kyle, dog and daughters Jamie and Daisy lack nothing but their late mother. Then New York life style program presenter Jennifer Wade, whose station treats her to an Aspen holiday, crashes her car in a blizzard, wanders off and is found amnesiac by Blake, who generously takes her in. While the sheriff looks for the car, his family bonds with her over Christmas, bit by bot sort of slipping into the maternal role while cupid matches John with her.—KGF Vissers

Synopsis

Jennifer Wade, an emerging celebrity chef in NYC, has a meltdown on the set of her Christmas Homestyle TV show after a turkey is spilled all over her sweater. Naturally, she gets a tad bit upset, but eventually is able to finish the show. Her producer and friend, Paula, offers her a vacation in her chalet in a remote Colorado town. On the way to her chalet she looks away from the road and crashes.

In the meantime, local vet, John Blake, is attending to an animal along with his son. Driving home in their pickup, they almost run into Jennifer who is stumbling on the road. She doesn't have a clue who she is. John takes a dazed Jennifer to his home. The next day she wakes up confused. Due to bad weather, they can't take her to a hospital, but wait for a doctor to pay a visit. John does a cursory examination and Jennifer wonders how she got undressed and in bed. His mom helped her into the PJ's. His daughter Jamie washed her clothes, since she sat on a pie in the pickup truck the previous night. Jennifer is chagrined to find her sweater has been shrunken.

After breakfast, she decides to leave so she can "get back to her life where someone must know her" and opens the door to find it completely blocked with snow. Next, she spends time with the kids and John cooking and making decorations and eventually they develop a fondness for each other. In the meantime, the police can find nothing to explain who she is...

In the meantime, Paula has been calling her repeatedly to see how her vacation is going. She starts to get worried because Jennifer doesn't answer her phone.

John is badgered by a local woman who he knew in high school, Brooke. Brooke wants to date him, but John is falling for Jennifer.

Brooke thinks she has seen Jennifer somewhere before. She eventually sees her photograph in a magazine and realizes who she is. Does Brooke inform Jennifer or John? No WAY! Instead she contacts Paula.

At the Christmas dance, Paula and Brad show up and when they call her by her name, Jennifer remembers her name, and recognizes Paula, but not Brad. The police show up after finding her car and her wallet. When asked why she didn't bother to tell John or Jennifer, Brooke is like "you looked so happy." (UGH)..... When Jennifer is faced with Brad and he tells her he is her boyfriend, she says "I don't think so." Brad is OBVIOUSLY not her type and if he ever was, she was totally mistaken.

But she goes back to NY with Brad and Paula after sorrowful goodbyes to John and the kids.

At Paula's apartment, Jennifer is feeling unhappy and decides to return to John and the kids. Simultaneously, John and the kids decide to go find Jennifer. They open the front door and THERE SHE IS!!

The movie ends with an update a year later where Jennifer is at the helm of her new cooking show along with John and the kids.
