While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonists come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.
In 2142, at the Jackson colony, Rain Carradine lives with her synthetic "brother" Andy that was reprogrammed by her father with the prime directive to protect her after the death of her parents. The Weyland-Yutani Corporation that administrates the colony forces the colonists to stay in Jackson prolonging the contracts of miners and farmers keeping them like slaves. When Rain's ex-boyfriend Tyler has his contract extended by the corporation, he convinces Rain to join his team, formed by his sister Kay, who is secretly pregnant, their cousin Bjorn and his sister Navarro, who is adopted, to travel to an abandoned station to flee to the planet Yvaga. They need Andy to interact with the computer system and they also need to recover the stasis chambers of the suspended animation for a nine-year trip to Yvaga. They go to the station and Andy and Bjorn realize that the chambers need cryogenic fuel for the trip. They go with Andy and accidentally unleash alien creatures, and there is a lockdown of the section. Rain uses the chip of the synthetic Rook that is damaged to update Andy to have access to all the functions of the station, but he becomes loyal to Weyland-Yutani Corporation and Rain is relegated to a second plane. But soon the creatures attack one by one of the Rain's friends. Will someone survive the alien creatures?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Jackson's Star Mining Colony, 2142. In the aftermath of the Nostromo Incident in Alien (1979), siblings Rain and Andy are losing hope of ever leaving the ringed planet LV-410. When a bold proposition leads them to the Renaissance, a derelict Weyland-Yutani research outpost, a terrifying secret threatens to claim the lives of everyone who dares to uncover it. And now, 37 years before Aliens (1986), history repeats itself. As the newly hatched Xenomorph threat spirals out of control, Rain and her team of ambitious colonisers must confront the horrifying face of absolute terror and the ultimate truth: What good is the promise of freedom when certain death awaits?—Nick Riganas
In 2142, a Weyland-Yutani probe finds a cocoon from the destroyed USCSS Nostromo. Months later, at the decrepit Jackson's Star colony on dark LV-410, orphan Rain Carradine discovers her work contract has been forcibly extended by Weyland-Yutani. Seeking to escape, Rain teams up with her adoptive brother Andy-a malfunctioning android her father reprogrammed-her ex-boyfriend Tyler, his pregnant sister Kay, their cousin Bjorn, and Bjorn's adopted sister Navarro. They commandeer the hauler Corbelan IV to reach the Weyland-Yutani station Renaissance, which is divided into Romulus and Remus. Their goal: steal cryostasis equipment to survive the journey to Yvaga III, a planet free of Weyland-Yutani's control.
The group discovers that Renaissance is set to collide with LV-410's rings in hours. Andy interfaces with the station to gain access to Remus and learns Yvaga III bans androids, meaning he must stay behind. Tyler and Bjorn accidentally release facehugger parasites while retrieving cryostasis fuel, triggering a lock down. Desperate, Rain upgrades Andy's security access with a chip from Rook, a damaged science officer android. However, this shifts Andy's loyalty to Weyland-Yutani. Andy ensures the group's safety, but a facehugger impregnates Navarro.
Rain reactivates Rook, who reveals that scientists experimented on a xenomorph from the cocoon, leading to an outbreak. The xenomorph's escape resulted in massive crew casualties and explosive decompression caused by its acidic blood.
Bjorn tries to flee with Navarro and Kay, but Navarro dies when an infant xenomorph bursts from her chest, causing the Corbelan to crash into Romulus, accelerating the station's collision course. While Kay escapes into Romulus, pursued by the adult xenomorph, Rain and Tyler attempt a rescue. Andy, suspecting a trap, refuses to open the door, leading to Kay's capture by the xenomorph.
Rook orders Andy to retrieve Z-01, a DNA-altering fluid from the facehuggers meant for creating genetically perfect humans. Rook threatens to keep the Corbelan if Z-01 isn't taken to Jackson's Star. Rain and Tyler prepare to fight, but Andy warns against using firearms due to the risk of explosive decompression.
Discovering a xenomorph nest, the group rescues a gravely injured Kay. While heading towards the ship Kay, ends up using the Z-01 to heal herself rapidly. Amidst an attack by facehuggers and xenomorphs, Tyler sacrifices himself for Rain and Kay, while Andy is incapacitated. Rain rescues Andy, restoring his original programming by removing Rook's control chip. With xenomorphs closing in, Rain disables the station's gravity to shoot them safely. Gravity reactivates, and Andy kills the attacking Navarro xenomorph, allowing them to escape as Renaissance crashes into LV-410's rings.
As they prepare for the journey to Yvaga, Kay gives birth to a human-xenomorph hybrid mutated by Z-01. The hybrid kills Kay and disables Andy before Rain ejects it into the rings, disintegrating it. Rain and Andy then enter cryostasis, hoping to reach Yvaga III alive.
