Synopsis

Mario wants to emmigrate to the United States and begin a newlife with his son in Miami. When his visa application is turned down, he plans a robbery to pay for a visa in the black market. Fate has an unexpected turn for Mario when he meets Blanca, a nightclub dancer looking for a different kind of dream.

With a different angle on the immigratin story, American Visa deals with our complex relationship with the U.S.

American Visa is an adaptation of a popular Bolivian novel. It was shot entirely in Bolivia with two great Mexican stars in the leading roles. It deals with the irony of looking outside for what can only be found inside.
