The zany adventures of a trio of 1930s animated characters in the modern world.
Ensemble cast of off-the-wall Warner Brothers characters who appear in a wide variety of roles. Mainly starring the Warner siblings Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, who were created by Warner Bros. Studios in the 1930s but found that they were just too "zany" to be of any use to the studio. Other popular characters in the series include: Pinky and the Brain, two lab mice bent on world domination. Rita and Runt, a cat and dog team who get into perilous situations in every episode but always seem to find time for Rita to sing a song. Bobby, Pesto, and Squit, the Goodfeathers, part of a New York City mob of pigeons who both take orders from the Godpigeon and hero-worship Martin Scorsese. Slappy Squirrel, an elderly squirrel who starred in a series of popular cartoons in the Golden Age, but is now retired and looking after her nephew, Skippy Squirrel. Buttons, a dog charged with watching the mischievous toddler, Mindy. Chicken Boo, a giant chicken who is trying to integrate into human society. Flavio and Marita, two urbane hippopotamuses.—Stewart M. Clamen <[email protected]>
Blending wit, slapstick and pop culture references, the variety show "Animaniacs" features a large cast of characters, whose predominant personalities are the Warner brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and their sister, Dot -- three inseparable siblings -- who have a great time creating havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet.—Jwelch5742
A trio of troublesome cartoon characters from the 1930s have escaped from the Warner Brothers WaterTower and are ready to unleash their maniacal energy upon the world. Continuing the tradition of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies, "Animaniacs" brings the zaniness and over-the-top antics of Chuck Jones to a new generation and new frontier: television animation.—Johnny
