A young girl takes in her friend's baby and becomes an unwed mother, ostracized by society. When a young man falls in love with her, this leads to heartache.

Karachi-based widower Khan Bahadur Wajad Khan, displeased with his only son, Nasir's, antics, asks him to get married to one of two sisters, Dolly and Seema. Nasir, in the company of his friend, Sahir, travels there, and asks the latter to impersonate him, while, he himself, introduces himself as Sahir. Once there, Sahir falls for Dolly, while Nasir falls for the sisters' cousin, Najma Choudhry, who is treated like a maidservant. Their impersonation is discovered by Wajad Khan, who, at first objects, but subsequently gives his approval.
