A young man coming to terms with the death of his parents makes friends with his omniscient neighbor who exhibits strange behavior.

Late one night in 1996, awkward teen Terry witnesses a horrific murder, which is written off as a nightmare the next morning. As Terry struggles to fit in with his family and peers, he's befriended by an understanding, yet enigmatic neighbor, Brad, who helps him through his teen years. After the unexpected death of his parents 25 years later, Terry returns to both his childhood home and what appears to be his childhood mentor who mysteriously has not changed at all. As strange rumblings and disappearances occur in the area, Terry is haunted by his past insecurities and anxiety, threatening his sanity.
