BABEL SP is a documentary series about a group of 250 people, amongst them Brazilians and Arab refugees, that live in an occupied building at Liberdade, a neighborhood in São Paulo. Their daily routine shows the cultural differences between Syrians, Palestines, Egyptians, and Brazilians that were forced to leave their places of birth. But despite the differences and difficulties, they have found a way to live together and support each other. Together, these people overcome preconceived notions and discover a sense of belonging, family, and friendship values and try to come to terms with their past as they build their future.—HBO Latin America
