Sakura and her friends have just finished the fourth grade, and are enjoying a well-deserved break from both school and cardcaptoring. While shopping at a local store, Sakura is fortunate enough to win a free trip to Hong Kong. Once there she is reunited with her rival and friend Syaoran Li, soon discovering that her good fortune is actually the work of a powerful sorceress with a grudge against Clow Reed, the long-dead creator of the Clow Cards.—Lampbane

Sakura Avalon is a ten-year girl who is entrusted to capture the magical Clow Cards after accidentally releasing them from their book. She mysteriously wins tickets to a trip to Hong Kong. Accompanied by guardian of the Clow Cards, Kero, best friend Madison Taylor, big brother Tori and school girl crush Julian Star, Sakura takes a break from her duties as Cardcaptor and visits the city. However, mystery dreams, warnings from the city's magical community, and a pair of malevolent birds, lead Sakura to encounter an imprisoned sorceress who seek revenge against the Clow Cards' long-deceased creator.
