A few years ago, Awesome Stranger was defeated by The Classic Gamer in their "Battle for Clout". As retribution, Stranger makes a duplicate of Gamer's remote after stealing data and opens a portal to the Video Game World to VG Hell, a prison for video game villains. Now in present day, Stranger using Gamer's remote, opens the portal and brings every retro villain imaginable to the real world in order to kill Classic Gamer. This catches the attention of Gamer as he illustrates a plan leaps through time to different video game/real world hybrid locations. Along the way, Gamer meets up with Yasha, a swordsman stuck in the video game world, Doc Brown and more friends in order to put a stop to Stranger's evil plan and defeat him once and for all.
