After returning to Earth, Captain Gloval of the SDF-1 records a report of the events from the alien ship's first arrival and the war fought over it.

After breaking through the Zentraedi's pursuing fleet, Capt. Gloval manages to land his ship, Super Dimensional Fortress One, back on Earth. With that accomplished, Capt. Gloval records a report detailing all the events of this Robotech War, beginning with the alien ship's first arrival on Earth a decade earlier. From that, Gloval describes the adaptation of the ship and its technology in anticipation of its owners' arrival for it.
