Having pulled off the smallest ever train robbery, Little Walter and his crew decide to get out of London. The six of them set up business in a disused monastery off the Cornish coast, despite the fact that none of them really qualifies as a monk - least of all Walter's moll Bikini. Bit by bit, the quiet way of life starts becoming a habit.—Jeremy Perkins
After a successful train robbery, a gang led by Little Walter gets cold feet and needs to get out of London quickly. Little Walter, his moll Bikini and the rest of the gang escape to a Cornish island where they plan to hide out in a monastery disguised as monks. After living the life of a monk the gang splits, some want to leave and spend their loot while others enjoy the benefits of a simple life.—David Bond
Little Walt and his band of crooks comprised of Lorenzo, Squirts, Specs, Willy, and Walt's girlfriend Bikini, have just pulled off what has been coined by the media as the world's smallest train robbery, the reason for the moniker being that Superintendent Mungo, tipped to there being a potential robbery by someone, was able to reorganize the train beforehand. Mungo suspects the perpetrator of the robbery is Little Walt, who he knows has carried out many other robberies. Because of the heat due to Mungo, Walt believes it is best for the six of them to lay low for a while, he able to purchase an island off the coast of Cornwall as that hideout where they could move their operation, its isolated location which doesn't sit well with the other five. They take more issue with it when they see that it is a monastery, and that Walt expects them to live like the previous monks did so as not to raise suspicion with the mainlanders. What's worse is that it was a subsistence farming operation meaning that they would have to raise farms animals, and grow fruits and vegetables, none of which any of these city slickers know how to do, but what is probably the greatest fish out of water situation being Bikini asked to be the cook, she not only being a female but not even knowing that chips are made with potatoes. Things become more complicated as they have to interact with the mainlanders, some not by choice, and Walt falling in love with one of them, June, the granddaughter of a fisherman named Phineas with a larcenous past of his own of which June is unaware. But they cannot forget that there is still Mungo looking for the perpetrators of the robbery.—Huggo
