Documentary on Moscow BDSM society.
Fantasy based on Oscar Wilde's fairy tales. It is an attempt to investigate such themes as devotion, self-sacrifice, conflict between fantasy and reality which are shown by means of a documentary and at the end are entwined with a true Wilde's story. The time of great illusions is gone. The current reality is free of Utopian ideas, there is no place for escapism, flight from reality in it. Nevertheless, there are people thinking that their second imagined life is much more important and true than that they were destined to live by nature. These are people practicing BDSM (Bondage - Domination - Sado-Masohism), creating an image of another world which only they can see. The games which the characters of "The Birthday of the Infanta" (both in Oscar Wilde's fairy tale and in Valeria Gay-Germanica's documentary) play are far from being games, but a true life for them. Like children getting engrossed in a game they don't realize that they are playing. They are living in this fairy tale, in this fantasy. It is the only reality for them. This film is not only a comprehensive investigation of BDSM, it also covers such global problems like the escapism possibility and impossibility in the present-day world. The documentary shows how our self-images correspond to other people perception of us, what we are in reality and what is "the reality", what is the difference between the fantasy and the reality and where is the borderline. And what happens when this borderline is eliminated. The things seeming painful to the one afford great pleasure for the other. The things seeming dangerous to the one are a passionate game for the other. Everything is circumstantial.—2PLAN2

Our Ball is becoming more bright and enchanting! The Ball is a precious ceremony giving ladies a chance to appear in beautiful, outrageous, exotic dresses and gentlemen can enjoy this pretty show. The Ball also is an inimitable program which doesn't have any analogous. Every performance is an eminent work of scenic art which includes not only an excellent device mastering technique but also the intrigue, music and costumes. And after all, the Ball is a great opportunity to meet new people, to talk to old and new friends. Everybody is welcome! The Ball traditionally takes place on the night of Walpurgis and an ancient Gaelic holiday Beltane. The nature renovation, transition from winter to summer, mysticism and brutality, antagonism between good and evil, the ambitious show - all those particularities make the difference of this Ball from other feasts.—2Plan2
