Dennis P. (Edo Brunner) believes that if you want something bad enough and try hard enough that any dream can come true.
He works in the sorting department of a large diamond wholesale but his life is in a slum, in debt and without a relationship. When he falls in love with Tiffany ( Nadja Hüpscher), a prostitute, he starts stealing stones in order to woe her. Although this works fine in the beginning at some point their relationship deteriorates. He decides to steal all the stones in store so that she can pursue her dream.
Her dream is to go to Mexico. They succeed in their plan, but there it turns out that she has a boyfriend to which she dreamed of going back. Dennis' dream breaks apart and he returns to Holland. When he finds out his father has died he turns himself in.
