Kavita, a fashion designer in India, fights mass industrialization with an innovative web-based project to save the soon-to-be lost art of hand-loom weaving. In Afghanistan, Sakena, a women's rights activist, faces constant danger providing an education for, and empowering the young women of her embattled country. Camille, an engineer, undertakes a daunting project in Haiti smashing the status quo, urging engineers to use their talents for humanitarian purposes. In Uganda, Angelina, a reconciliation advocate, struggles to help her people cope with their horrific post war circumstances.
