The story begins with Garbage People TV stars Patches and Peel riding the high of their newfound fame, but their world quickly begins to crumble when they discover they have been replaced on their own show and their beloved dumpster town has become overrun by artificial impostors- even the local bodega's resident genie has been swapped for a sterile machine. Armed with raw determination and pure vibes, Patches and Peel set out on an epic adventure to harness Gene the genie's magical abilities so that they may restore their integrity and liberate Trash from the sinister forces of A.I.
