The first Intifada is a comprehensive documentary capturing one of the darkest and longest hours in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The story is told through the eyes of the Israeli soldiers who participated and experienced the events of the Palestinian national uprising against Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, beginning in 1987 and up to 1992. Emerging in the story of reservists who were caught up in an incident that was later considered the starting point of the Intifada, through the stories of those who participated in the events of Beta and Huwwara, or in the hit operations of the Shimshon unit. Those who searched for the kidnapped soldiers Ilan Sa'adoon and Avi Sasports, those who discovered a new terrorist movement operating under their noses, called Hamas, those who watched cheerful dancing on rooftops during the Gulf War, and those who handed over the keys to Gaza City as part of the Oslo Accords that marked the end of the Intifada.
