The adventures of an Amazon jungle maiden and her companions.

An infant girl is orphaned in the Amazon rain forest and is raised by the native chief, Montaro. As she grows up, she becomes a lithe maiden perfectly at home in the jungle, armed only with a special neckband she can use as a throwing weapon that her jaguar companion, Ghost, is trained to retrieve. An adventure series about a blonde jungle girl, set in the rain forests of South America. Years ago, Jana's biological father survived a boating accident but disappeared. Jana was raised by her foster father Montaro, the last surviving member of a lost warrior tribe. Having grown up, Jana engages in an endless search for her missing father. She uses a necklace which doubles as a throw-able weapon. She can also call on various animals for help in various missions. Her supporting cast includes Montaro (who has a magic staff that can cause shock-waves), the white jaguar Ghost, the water opossum Tico, and the wildlife biologist Dr. Ben Cooper (who is operating the nature reserve which was established by Jana's father).—Dimos I
