Mars is a boy robot named as the god of war, created to be a military weapon, but adopted as a human child. In a distant future, when people and androids live together, he ventures to discover his true nature.

The year is 2015. The scientists Dr. Kawashimo and Dr. Yamanoue have co-operated in creating an android in the form of a young boy, called Jetter Mars. But they had different objectives in mind, resulting in a creation that could fit either of them. Dr. Yamanoue wanted a war machine in the image of the war god Mars, and so he equipped the robot with powerful weapons. Dr. Kawashimo wanted a human-like artificial intelligence, so the android has human thoughts and emotions. An additional member of the cast is Mars' android sister Miri, who has the ability to restore destroyed robots and machinery.—Dimos I
