About a true story that took place in Morocco at the end of the nineteenth century, the film reviews the life of the popular singer and poet Haddah el-Zaydi. The ruler unjustly killed all members of her family, so she decided to fight him with satirical poems and sharp singing which made people gather around her, considering her a symbol of resistance. The ruler instructed his commander to marry her, so that she might stop her satire, but she did not stop, which made him think of revenge by burying her alive.—Anonymous
