A mad scientist named Dr. Satan plots to steal key pieces of technolgy to enable him to build an army of robots based on his prototype to conquer America. The only one standing in his way is Bob Wayne, who fights Satan as the enigmatic Copperhead.—Kenneth Chisholm <[email protected]>
Chapter One RETURN OF THE COPPERHEAD - Dr. Satan (Eduardo Cianelli), master criminal, has invented a robot with which he plans to rob and terrorize the nation. To complete this monster he needs a secret remote control device developed by Professor Thomas Scott (C. Montage Shaw). But he is blocked by the efforts of a man in a copper mask - the "Copperhead" (Robert Wilcox), who is in reality Bob Wayne (Robert Wilcox), a young man bent on protecting society from the depredations of Dr. Satan. The latter attempts to secure the plans for the device by threatening the life of Scott's daughter, Lois Scott (Ella Neal), who is aboard a yacht. The Copperhears arrives in time to prevent the theft of the plans, but when he goes to rescue Lois he is trapped in an explosion which sinks the yacht. To Be Continued.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
Chapter Two THIRTEEN STEPS - The Copperfhead swims to safety with Lois, and to prevent another attempt to steal the remote control device, he hides in the airplane which Scott is using for an exhibition flight. One of Dr. Satan's henchmen transfers to the plane in midair, and in spite of the Copperhead's desperate defense, the ship is sabotaged and brought down. Dr. Satan secures the remote control and captures Bob.At Dr. Satan's headquarters Bob manages to break loose from his captors and destroys the control tube, but as he is attempting to escape, he is trapped by a deadly high-voltage device and apparently electrocuted. Chapter Three UNDERSEA TOMB - The Copperhead shoots out the electric circuit just as the current is turned on and escapes in the confusion. He hides in Dr. Satan's car is is taken to another criminal hideout where he climbs the outside of a a twelve-story building to overhear Dr. Satan's scheme to salvage the control device from the sunken yacht. The Copperhead is discovered but escapes after a thrilling fight on the roof and a desperate slide down the elevator cable. To forestall Dr. Satan's salvage plan, Professor Scott and his friends plan to blow up the sunken yacht. Bob Wayne and Lois Scott are in a diving bell directing the placing of the explosives when Dr. Satan's henchmen attack their ship.
