NORMANDY MEADOWS, 16, is a typical fun-loving teen with a sarcastic wit and wise-beyond-her-years. She and 4 of her high school classmates are mandated by their parents into a 30-day digital detox - No cell phones, electronics, internet or video games. This digital isolation forces these 5 very different teens to interact in-person with each other. The interactions are both hilarious and touching. As these 5 teens navigate through the digital-less world they begin to connect with each other in ways they never imagined. All stereotypes are thrown out the window as they learn more and more about each other. Their shared digital detox journey brings them together and they form lifelong connections with one another.
Together they experience the pain of losing a loved one, conquering their fears and overcoming insecurities. They share intimate thoughts, hilarious stories and find themselves in awkward situations.
NORMANDY finds love in an unexpected place and BENTLEY realizes that being himself instead of his alter ego is refreshing and freeing. BUFORD, the football player discovers that he has more of a heart than he shows and OLIVIA the cheerleader is more grounded than anyone realized. FRANCOIS is discovered to be much less timid than anyone could imagine, and he steals the show with his hilarious antics and physical attributes.
