A grumpy old man finds a baby on his doorstep and decides to adopt it, much to the amazement of the people in his neighborhood.

Somewhere at the quiet Athenian neighbourhood of Plaka, the cosy, out-of-the-way coffee shop of the grizzled confirmed bachelor, Agathoklis, has become a pole of attraction. Day in and day out, the sulky and grouchy man has to put up with the idiosyncrasies of his indolent customers, who, first and foremost, take great pleasure in pushing his buttons. Then, one seemingly ordinary morning, Agathoklis discovers a helpless infant abandoned on his doorstep, and just like that, his life takes a turn for the unexpected. Now, as Agathoklis becomes the baby boy's new father and his only family, a young woman with doleful eyes insists on becoming the child's generous wet-nurse, even if her presence in the bachelor's humble home raises a few eyebrows at the close-knit community. Will Agathoklis' pivotal decision mark the beginning of a new life for the neighbourhood's curmudgeon with a heart of gold?—Nick Riganas
