Northern French schoolboy Théo is his local football (soccer) club's only talent ever. Since his parents divorce, his ambitious mother his custody and constantly bags on his dropout father, Laurent, whom the boy loves despite regular mess-ups at visit days. When a scout from English top club Arsenal is announced, Laurent dreams of accompanying instantly rich and famous Theo to London. So when his height eliminate shim from the Arsenal junior academy, he can't bring himself to prick the dream and has mates help cover up while the whole town celebrates wildly their new hero.
