A humble girl who rises to become a wealthy, vengeful widow returns to the small town that humiliated her and to the man she loved, bringing their young son.

Ana Francisca, begins this soap opera as a poor young teenager, unpopular at school in a small fictitious city where everybody knows everything about everyone. Later, she marries the owner of the city's chocolate factory (the city's major company) and turns herself into a very rich woman, and she also is a very good person. Later, her husband dies. The rest of the story happens between the population of the city of Ventura, where four people try to take Ana Francisca out of the factory command and make all kinds of plans to take it off from her, with no success. Ana Francisca also has passion for one person, Danilo, who also loves her, but their love is repressed in sad feelings about each other's past.—Ikescs
