A generation is caught between image and the search for authenticity.

After a fall-out the young writer Julian invites his best friends Carson and James to his house. When James shows up with the attractive Norwegian Terese and Carson brings along her accidental highway acquaintance Byron, the night takes an unexpected turn. Soon the usual LA LA turns into a dispute about friendship, trust and secrets. While Carson, Julian and James spiral down into their unresolved issues, Terese and Byron find out what they want.
