Spider-Man battles crime in New York City with the help of Iceman and Firestar.

In this series, Spider-Man forms a close friendship and alliance with two superheroes, Iceman and Firestar. Together, the group, informally known as "The Spider Friends", battle crime in New York City. Along the way, they not only face Spider-Man's own enemies, but also other major Marvel Comics villians like the Red Skull and Doctor Doom while also meeting other heroes of the Marvel Universe.—Kenneth Chisholm <[email protected]>

The college-aged superheroes Peter Parker (Spider-Man), Bobby Drake (Iceman), and Angelica Jones (Firestar) are attending the Empire State University as college students. They live together in Aunt May's home, which the old woman has converted into a boarding house. The trio maintains a secret crime lab within the building, provided to them by Tony Stark (Iron Man) as a reward for their help in a past mission. Aunt May never discovers their secret identities. The trio regularly meet and team-up with other Marvel heroes, such as Sunfire, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Namor the Sub-Mariner, and Shanna the Jungle Queen.—Dimos I
