Synopsis

Federation soldiers are now using an exoskeleton to enhance their fighting abilities against the Arachnids.

On an asteroid, the Terran Federation's Fort Casey is crawling with bugs. The star-ship Alesia begins to deploy its Mobile Infantry troopers A-1, by drop-ship, to seize and control the hangar and rescue any survivors of the K-12 unit deployed at Casey. Lieutenant Daugherty's (Sam Roman) 'Alpha' team lands and immediately engages bugs, fighting through bugs to rendezvous with the surviving Fort Casey troopers.

After setting explosives charges, the troopers head to the star-ship John A. Warden for evacuation, only to see it leave the space dock without them. Minister Of Paranormal warfare Carl Jenkins (Justin Doran) has commandeered the Warden from Captain Carmen Ibanez (Luci Christian), sending her to Alesia. Carl refuses to divulge his mission but says that the mission can turn the tide of the war.

Before leaving, Jenkins orders that Major Henry "Hero" Varro (David Wald), the commander of Fort Casey's K-12 troopers, be escorted to Alesia as a prisoner. The troops in Fort Casey come under heavy attack from the bugs, and only escape due to the fast and accurate shooting skills of sniper Trig/Tia Durer, who takes out bugs from a distance.Alesia docks with Fort Casey for emergency evacuation of the surviving troopers, and the Fort Casey asteroid is successfully destroyed. Bugspray saves Trig's life by pulling her into the Alesia as the ship was separating from the space dock and she still trying to outrun the bugs.

The troopers believe that Varro was leading the unit very well, before Jenkins sent them on a suicide run straight into a bug hive. But the men don't talk about what Varro did that got him arrested by Jenkins.Captain Jonah (Shelley Calene-Black) captain of the Alesia tells Carmen that the ship lost track of the John A Warden shortly after it took off. They have no idea where the ship is and their orders are to return to Terra/Earth.

Members of the A-1 include Chow (Josh Grelle) (a solitary martial artist and technical expert, focusing on speed), Ice Blonde (flirts with her teammates but is a soldier at heart), Shock Jock (Adam Gibbs) (medic), and the K-12 survivors include Ratzass (Leraldo Anzaldua) (He is a rowdy soldier with a raging libido), Holyman (Kalob Martinez) (He rarely speaks, he mostly points at various tattoos of prayer symbols and pantomimes certain actions), Kharon (Chris Patton), Chase (Corey Hartzog), Gunfodder (Karl Glusman) (who loses an arm on the bug attack at Casey) and Bugspray / Lieutenant Otis Hacks (Andrew Love) (acting commander of K-12 team).

Trig has sex with Bugspray as thanks for saving her life. She shares that bugs killed her parents and millions others with a plasma bomb and she vowed to kill as many bugs in return, which is why she counts every kill.

While on route to Earth, Alesia is contacted by General Johnny Rico (David Matranga) from High Command at L-6 Base. When he orders Alesia to search for the Warden, which has broken all contact, the Fort Casey troopers agree to do so on condition that Varro leads them during the mission.Carmen knows that Jenkins deliberately turned the Warden dark, so that its activities could not be tracked. Rico gives her the estimated location of the Warden based on scattered signals collected.

When they find the Warden, Daugherty's team escorts Ibanez to the bridge while Varro's team secures the Engine Room, both teams finding nothing but dead crewmen and a few dead bugs.Varro finds a deranged Jenkins and is warned, too late, not to power up the Warden as 'she' has hacked all the systems. Varro was locked in a cabin that is meant to hold bugs, but now he was using it to protect himself from the bugs and refused to come out.

As the engines recharge the Warden, an Arachnid Queen inside takes control of all systems and opens bulkhead doors to release her bugs. The bugs overwhelm the boarding party and force the survivors to head towards the air lock, the only passage between the Alesia and the Warden. As Ibanez and the troopers attempt to return to Alesia, the Queen uses the Warden's main weapons to destroy the Alesia, then flies Warden into a wormhole whose outlet is in near-Earth space. The troopers return to the Warden's bridge, where Varro reveals he was arrested when Jenkins had ordered his unit to capture the Queen alive on Fort Casey, but Varro had refused to sacrifice his squad.Carmen realizes that Jenkins managed to capture a Queen after all and now that Queen is on the Warden and is somehow controlling the ship. Trig gets into the ventilation system of the ship to hunt the Queen.

As the ship nears the L-6 defense base, Carmen tries to signal Rico using Morse code that bugs are in control of the Warden.General Rico deploys three star-ships from the L-6 Base in Earth orbit, but they are unable to stop the Warden. Warden's weapons are far superior, and it destroys the 3 ships sent to stop her. Rico hesitates to fire the L-6 cannons as he knows Carmen is on the ship. This allows the Warden to evade the shot, but in the process, it misses colliding with the L-6 defense base. Rico realizes that the Warden never meant to hit L-6, they were just in their way.

The Queen sets the bug-infested Warden on a trajectory to crash land in Paris, but Alpha Team sniper Trig (Emily Neves) manages to shoot out the wires linking the Queen to the ship, allowing Ibanez to re-direct the Warden to crash in a mountain range. Meanwhile, General Rico leads a squad of troopers in Marauder suits to stop the bugs from escaping the crash site, while high command gives him 30 minutes before they will drop nukes from the L-6 Station to sanitize the site.

Back on the Warden, the five surviving troopers make their way towards the Queen. Ice Blonde (Melissa Davis) protects Ibanez at a nearby airlock while Mech (Jovan Jackson) and Ratzass (Leraldo Anzaldua) go to the engine room to blow it up. When Varro and Bugspray find Trig's corpse, Bugspray (Andrew Love) uses Trig's family-made sniper rifle to buy Varro some time to reach the Queen.Jenkins, having recovered from his mental breakdown, provides Varro back-up with bugs under his mind control, revealing an important Terran breakthrough in the war and the reason for capturing a live Queen.

Rico is the only one from his squad to reach the Warden. The extraction shuttle from L-6, and the nuclear strike, are all destroyed by the Queen's control of the Warden's weapons. As Jenkins leads the team to his shuttle from Fort Casey, Rico rushes to distract the Queen and rescue Varro. Varro, critically injured, blows a grenade when surrounded by bugs. Rico abandons his broken Marauder suit and uses a combat knife on one of the Queen's eyes, buying Ibanez time to make take-off preparations. Rico barely sprints back into the drop-ship as it escapes the Warden before the explosives detonate and destroy the Warden.

Mech, Ice and Ratzass pay their respect to their fallen comrades while Ibanez confronts Jenkins over the recent crises. Jenkins sidesteps the issue, telling Rico and Ibanez that his research will someday save the entire galaxy. In the aftermath, one warrior bug is seen navigating a sewer system, having survived the Warden's destruction.
