Summaries

Ossetian grandfather Batraz Zelimkhanovich lives alone in a mountain village. The new head of the local administration, Semyon, comes to him to inform him of the decision to liquidate the village, because "one person is not an administrative unit." Semyon needs to get Batraz's written consent to move to the city, but the grandfather is not going to go anywhere, although he does not understand how he can single-handedly oppose the administration's decision. Batraz sees an article in the newspaper about alpine settlements that attract millions of tourists and decides to bring life back to his native village by turning it into an eco-village. To cope with this task, he needs the help of his son and grandchildren, for whom it is very difficult to escape from city life.
