'Stranded In The Motor City' travels through the lives of the Barnes family, who have been stranded by poverty, their own choices, and life itself. Andrelia Barnes-Wilson, started life with infinite potential, graduating high school at age fifteen. Then life struck with a violent blow, as her husband and the father of her four boys was brutally murdered in the streets of Detroit. This, along with numerous other tragedies, reshaped her life, leading her to choose a path of drugs and alcohol- a change that eventually caused her to slip into a coma that lasted fifteen years. In addition Andrelia's middle child, Dwayne Barnes, decision at the age of nineteen to leave his brutal reality of Detroit to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor/entertainer in Hollywood,.
