The Goodies are a three-man agency whose motto is to do 'anything, anytime'. This gave the series carte blanche to do whatsoever it pleased, which did turn out to be absolutely anything, all with a cartoon-like surrealism and a heavy reliance on slapstick.—D.Giddings <[email protected]>

The antics of The Goodies: Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie. With a motto of "We do anything, anywhere, anytime", they're a trio for hire. This leads them into some strange and zany situations. However, our fearless band always has a solution.—grantss

Synopsis

With their motto "We do any job, anytime" The Goodies find themselves doing just that. Although they usually find themselves only asked to perform one particular job per episode whether it be guarded the crown jewels of England, digging up not-so-dead dinosaurs, traveling to the moon, making an appropriate sex education video, mining cream or even entering a competition to see who can sustain the worst injury, this trio approaches any job with the utmost zeal, however their optimism often leads them into situations that are not only awkward but in many cases; physically impossible, including finding: themselves in the belly of the beast (a Tyrannosaurus Rex that is), turning a lighthouse into a makeshift rocket, been chased by a giant kitten, or been abducted by alien rabbits. However, despite their misfortunes the goodies always manage to save the day.
