To save her parents' small-town performing venue, a former big-city dancer decides to stage an all-male, Christmas-themed revue.
Ashley is fired from The Jinglebells on Broadway. Disappointed, she returns to her parents' home for Christmas. Once there, she realizes that her parents' club is struggling and that their debts threaten to force them to close down. Determined to save the club, Ashley takes action. Inspired by her sister's ex-boyfriend's line of work, she comes up with the idea to put on a male dance performance focused on sexy routines. She recruits local talent, including Luke, the carpenter who often helps out with repairs at the club.
Ashley, a former Broadway dancer, returns to her hometown and discovers that her parents' beloved performance venue is about to close. Determined to save it, she puts on an all-male, Christmas-themed revue, reconnecting with her roots and discovering love along the way.
Broadway dancer Ashley Davis has rarely returned to her hometown in the 12 years since landing a role in the Christmas-themed show "Jingle Belles." After making a misstep onstage, Jodie, the choreographer, informs her that she has been replaced by a younger dancer to keep the show fresh.
Ashley's mom, Lily, calls to say she and her dad, Stan, are coming to see her show on Christmas Eve. However, Ashley decides to return home to her parents' venue, The Rhythm Room, in Sycamore Creek instead. Upon her arrival, she literally runs into Luke, the resident carpenter and handyman. Ashley's parents' landlady, Denise, reminds them about their overdue rent debt of $30,000.
Next, Ashley visits the Little Spoon Café, run by her older sister, Marie, and her husband, Rodger. When Luke comes in to place his lunch order, Marie has him give Ashley a ride back home.
At her parents' bar, Ashley encounters Luke shirtless after he got soaked while fixing the plumbing. Denise announces that a juice bar is interested in taking over Ashley's parents' venue. Remembering her sister's past boyfriend, who had secretly been a stripper, as well as Luke's physique, Ashley begins planning "The Merry Gentlemen," an all-male Christmas-themed revue, in hopes of saving her parents' venue. Luke initially refuses to get involved but agrees when he learns they have less than a month to settle The Rhythm Room's debt. Ashley also recruits Rodger and bartender Troy for the show. Ashley will serve as the choreographer.
After their successful first show, which had a construction worker theme, Luke walks Ashley home. He had come to Sycamore Creek with his new wife and remained even after their marriage ended. He gives her a wreath to commemorate how they first met, and they pose for a photo with Santa.
Ashley enlists taxi driver Ricky, whose impromptu dancing she had previously witnessed. Their next dance routine is cowboy-themed, and by the fourth show, they are selling out. When Rodger twists his ankle, retired bar patron Danny steps in to help.
Troy mentions to Ashley that Luke seems happier than he has been in a long time. Marie asks Ashley to deliver Luke's lunch to his carpentry workshop, where they dance together and end up kissing. At the office, they discover they have almost reached their financial goal. Jodie then calls Ashley, begging her to come back, as her replacement has not been successful; she offers Ashley a raise and a decent contract.
Ashley's parents encourage her to do what is best for her. However, Luke is upset when Ashley informs the dancers as a group without giving him a heads-up first. He confesses that he was beginning to fall in love with her. On Christmas Eve, he overhears Ashley telling Marie she has feelings for him too, just before she leaves in a taxi.
Stuck in heavy traffic on the way to the airport, a song on the radio reminds Ashley of Luke, prompting her to turn back. She rushes into the show just as Luke forgets his dance steps. Seeing her, he manages to finish the routine successfully. At their extended family Christmas dinner, Ashley hands over the full $30,000 to Denise.
