Big-nosed Cyril is ridiculed by his classmates. Wearing a mask, he wins rap battles. On a class tour to Berlin, he meets the cool, cute Roxy. Like Cyrano, he helps a dimwit woo Roxy.
Cyril falls head-over-heels for the new girl in his class. Roxy is cool and drop-dead gorgeous. But Cyril is terribly self-conscious because he has a huge nose. And while he writes songs for and about his beloved, he's too shy to let her know that they are his. He pretends they were written by the hunky Rick, whom he presumes Roxy must admire; if he has no chance with Roxy, he'd rather she go out with dimwitted Rick than with that macho Benno.
Cyril falls in love with his classmate Roxy. She admires him too, but she doesn't know it: like all the kids, she is impressed by the masked rapper, who puts everyone in the shade in freestyle battles in the evenings - but Roxy has no idea that it's the outsider on the same school bus who is beaten up with an unsightly big nose. Because as a freak he has no chance with the "most beautiful girl in the world", Cyril writes the most stunning love letter rhymes for Rick. He may be a bit stupid, but at least his heart is in the right place - in contrast to his rival Benno, who just tries to get Roxy into bed. While Cyril turns into Roxy's best buddy, he serves incognito as a development aid for her love life. As sincere and direct as he is as the masked man on stage, Cyril cannot keep up this love lie forever.
