Synopsis

Co-written by Chris Webb and writer/director Julius Harper Jr, as a project of Out of the Box Ministries of Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship, this feature length film tells the story of a young man struggling with his desire to express his gifts and talents as a rap artist, and his desire to do within the context of his faith in God.Chris Webb, stars as Mario, a gifted young artist with a flair for creating poetry with words and music. Mario is a committed Christian yet he finds a lack of acceptance for his artful expression. While singing in the choir one day, Mario launches into an extemporaneous rap right there in the church, horrifying and offending many of the traditional church members including the Pastors wife. This leads to a confrontation between Mario and his father, played by Earnest Mitchell, which ultimately pushes Mario to seek an outlet for his talents, by signing a contract with Thug Records. The movie chronicles the downward trajectory of Mario, as he leaves the safety and comfort of his home to pursue his dream only to realize that hes dancing with the devil.
