A new interpretation of "Records of the Three Kingdoms," which is historical text of the three states of Wei, Shu, and Wu in China.

Writer and director Fukuda Yuichi, known for Gintama and From Today, It's My Turn!!: The Movie, depicts an original interpretation of the historically-based fiction, "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". 1,800 years ago in China, the Wei, Wu, and Shu warlords were in conflict over unification of the country. Liu Bei (Oizumi Yo), who would later be hailed a hero, rose up in order to bring peace for his people. After a turbulent time of upheaval, the Battle of Red Cliffs begins where the overwhelming military might of Wei's 800,000 strong army clashes with the combined Shu and Wu forces of 30,000.—Japanese Film Database
