A period vampire comedy set in the 18th century Prague. The inquisitive, somewhat naive and inexperienced young Englishman Richard Bancroft (Rudolf Hrusínský) is traveling with his uncle (Petr Nározný) around Europe as part of his education. It is Richard's first long trip outside England, and his seemingly puritanical relative has the task of protecting his nephew from the charms of a sullied world - most of all from women he himself cannot resist. When they are riding through Bohemia they make the acquaintance of Count Kronberg (Viktor Preiss) and the beautiful Olivie (Iveta Bartosová). The young Richard falls in love with the countess and thus seals his fate. He uses his ingenuity to deceive his strict uncle so that he may meet up with the beautiful Olivie in her ancient Prague palace. He experiences various comic adventures since he is unaware that vampires reside in the palace...—KrátkýFilm
