Synopsis

Academy Award Winner Anthony Hopkins relates the previously untold story of a fearless American hero whose exploits are the stuff of legends.

Hank was the last the fire breathing, "give 'em hell" crusading publishers, a P.R. man for Bugsy Siegel at the Flamingo, a convicted heavy arms runner to Palestine. Israeli President Simon Peres lauds his gunpoint heroics as being instrumental in Israel's war of Independence.

Hank changed the face of politics in Nevada by challenging the McCarran political machine. Greenspun was the only journalist ever to publicly confront Sen. Joseph McCarthy and his hard hitting columns led to his indictment for inciting the murder of McCarthy.

Hank brought Howard Hughes into Las Vegas to buy out the mob and his secret relationship with the billionaire led to a break-in at his Las Vegas Sun office by the Watergate burglars. Said Watergate counsel, Sam Dash: "There never would have been a Watergate scandal had it not been for the burglary at Hank Greenspun's office."

He was a tireless fighter against nuclear testing, racial discrimination and political corruption. And on and on it goes.

Where I Stand is the story of a man who was fearless in his life long pursuit of justice.

Hank Greenspun was and remains an American icon.
