1826, St. Petersburg. After the suppression of speeches on Senate Square, the investigating commission begins to search for participants in the Decembrist uprising. Some of them come across to the authorities because of informers. Suddenly, a series of brutal murders take place in St. Petersburg: those who denounced the Decembrists become victims. Near the bodies of the dead, there is invariably a piece of paper with lines from a poem by the young poet Alexander Pushkin. A Moscow detective and a nobleman, Alexander Boshnyak, who was released from custody, take up the investigation of the case.

We follow the life of Alan Marshall who was struck down by Polio as a child and it shows how he overcame the crippling effects of the disease. It traces his life from childhood into early adulthood. Based upon his trilogy of autobiographical books "I can Jump Puddles", "This is the Grass" and "In Mine Own Heart".

The story of five friends - Andrey, Kostya, Yura, Danya and Vitalik - unfolds in parallel in two times - in 2015 and 1996. In the 90s, they were always and in everything together - like five fingers on one hand. They were nicknamed "Fingers". But one gangster clash leads to unexpected consequences almost 20 years later.

A man is befriended by Indigenous Australians and becomes a cattle tycoon. The movie is based on the novel by Olaf Ruhen.
