Immediately following the events of "Ikki tousen: Xtreme Xecutor", the kids from Nanyo Academy head to Kyoto for a school trip. Before long, they run into rival classmates from other Kanto schools and find themselves confronted by Kyoto's best fighters. It's a battle of epic proportions. Hopefully the city of Kyoto will be left standing!

While W-0 is away, Leila and the remaining crew at base find themselves surrounded by Britannian Knightmares. Piloting the Vercingetorix, Shin Hyuuga leads the enemy charge, having usurped the position of Grand Master in the Knights of St. Michael. With her core members unavailable, it's up to Leila to protect her comrades, but this may be much tougher than she realizes: a spy lurking among them is finally ready to reveal himself. Left with no choice but to surrender, Leila arranges a meeting with Shin in order to ensure the safety of her squad. But as negotiations begin to fall apart, Akito and an unexpected ally return in the nick of time to turn things around.

While trying to promote the 'Saeba Firm' in an attempt to get more clients, Ryo and Kaori come across a beautiful blonde bombshell named Emily O' Hara, who's in need of protection. It seems that Emily angered some very dangerous people and now they've put a contract out on her and she's offered a million dollars to the Saeba Agency in return for protection. However, City Hunter will only take the job if Emily promises him some 'nookie' in-between, much to Kaori's dismay. It seems like an easy situation: take the easy job, get the easy money, then take it easy. But when Falcon informs Kaori during a trip to the grocery store that someone from Los Angeles has arrived to kill City Hunter, she and Ryo begin to suspect that Emily is not all she really appears to be. What is her real agenda? Is she really a cold-blooded assassin who has something personal against Ryo? Why is the C.I.A. taking an interest in City Hunter's client? And more importantly, will Ryo still get the nookie he was promised by the time the case is solved?

A dark veil lies over the island of Yak - a sign of the nasty plan of the two duellists, Orpheus and his sister Electra. They want to hold a tournament to summon the mystical creature Shinmetsu Ryuuki Garzak. Shoubu Kirifuda, Japan's best duelist, also takes part in this sinister tournament without knowing about the plan of the two orphaned siblings.
