Summary The king charges The Musketeers with protecting a large diamond en route to one of his castles. The foursome are beset by thieves and ruffians, but dispatch them with ease. After arriving at the castle, the king instructs the swordsmen to continue guarding the valuable gem while it stays in the castle, so the Musketeers are astonished when the king later countermands his order, saying he has changed his mind. He takes the valuable stone and leaves the room. When the king appears on the other side of the room, the Musketeers realize they've been duped by an impostor and chase him down a secret passage. After recovering the diamond, the Musketeers discover that the thief is the Court Jester who is also a master of disguise.
