Adventurer George M. Dyatt is sent to find a fellow adventurer, Colonel Percy Fawcett, who went missing in the Amazon jungle in 1925 while searching for the lost city of Z (changed to El Dorado in the movie). Based on true events.

A plane leaving the turmoil of a South American country in the midst of a revolution crash-lands in the Amazon jungle in Brazil. Among the passengers are a corrupt banker who is smuggling diamonds out of the country, a reporter, a mysterious beauty and a shady flight attendant. The survivors find themselves up against not only the dangers of the jungle itself but a band of headhunters and a gang of revolutionaries who are looking for the smuggled diamonds.

Tarzan, who has returned to Africa after living in England, sets off to Guatemala in search of an old friend who may have survived a plane crash there. Ula Vale and Major Martling are out to find the riches of the Green Goddess.

The mountains of the South Asian country are covered with dense rainforest. A cobra, scorpions and other jungle creatures infest the jungle floor as Machado cuts his way through the undergrowth toward a gold mine.
