Summary After Ascari's glorious winning at the 1952 Italian Grand Prix, it's now time to enter 1953 and we are in Argentina with 16 racers. Apart from Piero Taruffi departing to work on the Lancia sportscar programme and being replaced by Mike Hawthorn, the Ferrari 500 was still as confident as ever. Fangio would not be in the Ferrari this year but he would instead be in the Maserati A6GCM, the car was gonna give challenge to the Ferrari 500. Since this Grand Prix was new, Juan Peron had said that everyone should come and see the race by saying: "My children, let them in". The crowd was strong and couldn't be controlled even for the small police force. At the start, Ascari begins wonderfully, while Hawthorn's first Ferrari time started bad. The race was sadly a mess in terms of spectators and had managed to make the crowd too risk daring and Farina had said to have killed 13 spectators and this was the start of many deaths to come. In the end, none withdrew and Ascari won with a time of: 3:01:04.6.
