Summary Ash and friends get more than they bargain for when supplies run low and they accept a meal invitation from a family of strangers. It turns out the family are incredibly enthusiastic in their support of a son who recently left home with visions of greatness as a Pokémon Champion. As a tribute of sorts to this son, they engage in as many Pokémon battles as they can themselves. Their enthusiasm makes them formidable opponents as they face Ash, Brock, and Max--who borrows one of Ash's Pokémon for the occasion--in four on four contest. Things grow all the more complicated when this favorite son, having lost his dreams of glory, returns home, unwittingly bringing Team Rocket along with him.
