Summary The little prince and the fox's land on a strange planet where the dark countryside is inhabited by a species of floating eyes. Uneasy, they seek refuge in an town, but everyone shuts them out at nightfall, except a mother and her son, who make friend with fox. This family alone refuses to buy lanterns to scare off the globus, who according to legend can petrify, but never did. That night however, fox and the boy seem petrified in bed, yet the prince, who sleep on the roof terrace, saw no globus.
