Summary Davey learns the importance of honesty and doing his own schoolwork. The teacher, Miss Lindsey, tells the class that they are going to have a quiz the next day on Australia. Davey is overconfident with his tenuous knowledge of the subject, and procrastinates studying until he runs out of time. During the test, he copies the answers from his friend Jimmy, seated next to him. He gets a perfect score. Feeling bad and extremely guilty, Davey frets with figuring out what to do. Eventually, he realizes that cheating only hurts himself. He confesses to Ms. Lindsay the next day, who praises him for coming forward, but admonishes him that he must retake the test, but will not get full credit. Davey feels good.
