Summary Scientists have found evidence of a third Tunguska like event in the Atacama Desert of Chile 12,000 years ago. As the area is now a desert with no fallen timbers, the evidence comes from several apparent impact sites comprised of glass and other material that matches closely with comet dust collected in space.
