S1.E20 ∙ Stinking Badges!/Mech Daddy

Combining musical and dance numbers with comedy sketches (performed by members of The Armando Curcio Company and The Gauthier Ballet Troupe)without any plot, this is more of a revue than a movie, along the lines of The Ed Sullivan television series in the U.S. It begins with a puppet show that shows the changes in Naples from the past to the present; a slapstick takeoff on "La Traviat" with local songs substituted for the Verdi music; two men comment on the monotony of life, followed by a Charlie Chaplin impersonator;and a sketch portraying an Italian-American who returns to the old country to marry the simple girl he left behind, only to learn she has assumed many of the qualities of the American women. Along the way, an elaborate ballet sequence created by Mady Odolensky and danced by Claudia Lawrence and Teddy Barnett is tossed in. Armando Curcio wrote the story, book and lyrics.

On the outskirts of Algiers, Algeria. the arrival of the satellite dishes governs the lives of the inhabitants. Dissatisfied with their lives, they think of themselves as the heroes of American soap opera and movies, so JR, Sue Ellen, Rambo, Kojak, Spock and others take possession of bodies and minds, with many typical American culture elements. These heroes mix in a beautiful funny mess, with tradition and modernism, Islam and television, reality and fiction.

The World's Silliest Slapstick Gangster Comedy When Harold's dying father, who he hasn't seen for years, orders him to take over the family business, he finds out he's now a mob boss with a gang. It all sounds great until he learns the other gangs gunned down his father for getting too big and now they want to kill him, too. Panicking, he tries to give away the business to the other mobsters, but they believe it's a trick to get them to let down their guard, so they keep trying everything they can think of to bump him off. This film is a compilation, with narration by Steve Allen, of comedies from the old Mack Sennett silent studio. Sennett, himself, appears in a cameo at the end of the film.
