S1.E7 ∙ Search and Destroy

Two good-for-nothing brothers came to America to meet their friend after winning the lottery. Their challenge is to get settled, get a white girlfriend and accomplish the American dream.

Ageing wrestler and circus strongman is put in an institution located somewhere in a world of its own, next to an abandoned railway station with pigs running loose on the tracks in almost constant rain. The institution is filled with the most diverse characters, all trying to go on with their own familiar ways instead of giving way to apathy or to mockery by others -- a retired cellist, war veterans, and an artistic old lady with whom the Wrestler slowly becomes romantically attached. After showing her all the strongman feats he's still capable of, the Wrestler sets out with her on a dramatic escape, pulling a railway car behind him with his teeth.

Disgusted with his spendthrift son, Kirk Anthony's father has Kirk shanghaied and taken to Panama, where he (Kirk) attracts the attention of Mrs. Edith Cortlandt; falls in love with Chiquita, the daughter of a Panamanian general; gets a railroad job through Stephen Cortlandt (Edith's husband); and decides to make something of himself when he meets Allen Allan, a Negro soldier of fortune. Stephen Cortlandt's death is blamed on Kirk until Edith produces a suicide note; he succeeds in his railroad position and returns to the United States with Chiquita to ask his father's forgiveness.

Miguel (33 years old) is a single man who lives a melancholy life in a filthy apartment in Buenos Aires surrounded by his equally dirty house pets (dogs and cats). From Monday to Friday he rides his bicycle to work across the city. He works as a clerk at lawyer's office answering the phone, filing, and running errands. Miguel keeps himself in very good shape, he does not drink or eat refined flour and sugar, but he detests each and every single aspect of his life. When he sleeps, dreams, wakes up, eats, and rides the bike he experiences the same tedium and discontent as he does when going about his clerical work. Following his psychoanalyst's advice, he keeps a journal where he records his dreams every morning, as well as other thoughts and feelings he has throughout the day. But one fine day, after waking up feeling the same old tedium and resignation, a series of unexpected events and coincidences gives him the chance to make a radical change in his life and to meet the woman of his dreams.

A married couple is trying to survive a boring lazy Sunday.
