The city of São Paulo, the main Brazilian metropolis with 12,2 million inhabitants, lives a serious housing crisis. In a neighborhood called Liberdade, in the central part of the metropolis, Palestinian refugees from Syria and previously homeless Brazilians share the 11 floors of the Leila Khaled Occupation. In this place all residents are refugees, both Brazilian and foreign. The Occupation is a space for conviviality, friendship, hope and respect for others.
