"Fortress" is 1st part of the war series. Despite the fact that most of mankind has been killed, war still continues because of an automated A.I. system. One of the last surviving bombers still performs it's task to destroy a city.
Last war broke out. All people are dead, but the machines continue dutifully follow orders. On the automatic base machines fueling and charge the weapons of last surviving bomber preparing to drop bombs at the dead enemy city. This happens until the echo of mankind subsides completely. Then comes a new era in which there is no place for us.
